How to Make the Most of Your First 30 Days with TraceAir

Key takeaways

Follow a proven 4-week onboarding roadmap

From Week 1 setup (users, Pano 360, Overlays) to Week 4 field adoption (Mobile, virtual staking) — a clear path to get value fast.

Turn scans into decisions with Cut/Fill and Track Quantities

Save a "Whole Site" balance once, then get automatic updates every scan — no rebuilding reports from scratch.

Catch discrepancies before they become rework

Cross Sections, Utilities mapping, and site-to-plan comparisons flag trenching and grading errors early, while they're still cheap to fix.

Keep field and office aligned without extra logins

Share Exhibits, Snip Screen PNGs, and public Panorama links with contractors and execs who don't have a TraceAir account.

Questions people ask before watching

What is the recommended scan cadence for a construction project?

During active earthwork and grading, we recommend weekly or bi-weekly scans to track earth movement closely. As the site moves toward vertical construction or winter slow-downs, cadence can transition to monthly. Scan turnaround time is typically 1 business day.

How do I install the TraceAir app on my mobile phone or tablet?

TraceAir is completely web-based! There is no app store download required. Simply open Chrome or Safari on your phone or tablet and log in at office.traceair.net for full mobile capability.

How do I share site data or exhibits with external contractors who don't have a TraceAir login?

You can use the built-in Snip Screen tool to take a high-resolution PNG screenshot to attach to emails or messages. For 360 Panoramas, you can copy and share a direct link that anyone can open in a web browser without needing a login.

How should we manage CAD plan revisions in TraceAir?

Upload the latest CAD revision through the Overlays tab to ensure active workflows use current design grades. Outdated design files can be moved into a custom "Archive" folder so they remain accessible for reference without cluttering active site views.
